I will be at Barnhill’s in Winston-Salem for a booksigning Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30.  The store is located at 811 Burke Street, phone # 336 602-1383.  It’s going to be fun.  Put it on your calendar. I hope to see you there!

My book entitled, “What It Means When God Goes On Strike” is now available. The second edition is out now! New publisher, new size, new page type.

It’s my story surrounding the PATCO Air Traffic Controllers’ Strike in 1981. My husband was one of the controllers who was fired by Ronald Reagan and you can read about the chain of events that caused us to spiral down to the depths. We made it through and came out on the other side better people and more grounded, so it has a happy ending!

After you order your book, come back and email me to let me know. I really appreciate your interest! :)

The one thing that has made a difference in my stamina and health has been barley capsules that I discovered about 10 years ago.  The first year I tried to walk the two miles for the Pregnancy Care Center’s Walk for Life  I thought I was going to die before I finished.  My legs cramped and I was exhausted.  When I learned my 80 year old friends took barley and could run circles around women in their 30’s, I too started on this wonder food.  It is the most dense nutrition that can be packed in a capsule.  It is just that, food, not medicine or a drug, FOOD.  It heals, gives you energy, and helps you sleep.  You start gradually with a couple  the first thing in the morning for about a week and gradually work up to 6 in the morning.  If you need a pick me up in the middle of the afternoon take 2 or 3 instead of a soft drink or snack.  You will be amazed at what they can do for you.  Here’s to good health to you!

Contact me if you would like to order.

My grandson, Hunter recently starred in Faith Christian School’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  He did a fabulous job, singing, acting, and truly being Charlie.  Everyone loved him and praised him to high heaven.  We are so proud of him.

Something For The Window

Something for the Window was the name of my custom window treatment business that I enjoyed for 20 years. It served as a creative outlet as well as a wonderful way to interface with clients.  Satisfied clients returned again and again to enjoy  gorgeous window treatment designs as well as unsurpassed technical skill.

Follow-up book on the PATCO strike.

I have been pleasantly overwhelmed with the numerous responses from other families that were affected by the PATCO strike in 1981. They all want their stories “out there” as well, and I am working on a new book to follow up my first book, “What It Means When God Goes On Strike”. This new book will be a collection of other stories from the families of the Air Traffic Controllers that were involved with the strike.

If you want your story to appear in my next book, please send it to me at . All stories, no matter how short or long, are welcome!

Here’s all the legal stuff I have to add:

I will not use your name in the finished book, unless it appears within your story. Stories may be proofed, edited or shortened. You will not receive any compensation for submission. Names may be changed to protect individuals. Submitting your story indicates that you are the creator.
